أَيُّهَا ٱلْأَحِبَّاءُ، إِذْ كُنْتُ أَصْنَعُ كُلَّ ٱلْجَهْدِ لِأَكْتُبَ إِلَيْكُمْ عَنِ ٱلْخَلَاصِ ٱلْمُشْتَرَكِ، ٱضْطُرِرْتُ أَنْ أَكْتُبَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَاعِظًا أَنْ تَجْتَهِدُوا لِأَجْلِ ٱلْإِيمَانِ ٱلْمُسَلَّمِ مَرَّةً لِلْقِدِّيسِينَ. AVD
أَيُّهَا الأَحِبَّاءُ، كُنْتُ قَدْ نَوَيْتُ أَنْ أَكْتُبَ إِلَيْكُمْ فِي مَوْضُوعِ الْخَلاَصِ الَّذِي نَشْتَرِكُ فِيهِ جَمِيعاً. وَلَكِنْ، أَرَانِي الآنَ مُضْطَرّاً لأَنْ أَكْتُبَ لأُشَجِّعَكُمْ عَلَى الْجِهَادِ فِي سَبِيلِ الإِيمَانِ الَّذِي سُلِّمَ مَرَّةً وَاحِدَةً لِلْقِدِّيسِينَ. KEH
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. KJV
Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. ESV
